It’s not about being the best out of everyone it is about being the best you can be and the professional coaches support you in achieving that. While the sport itself is competitive in nature, many people who train in MMA do not go down the competitive route. Many people just enjoy the training aspect and the benefits this side brings without having a desire to compete.
You will always be pushed to better yourself in MMA, but you will never be pressured to do something you do not want too. Most people prefer not to compete within MMA and just benefit from the workout, especially at first when the sport is new to an individual. Since the sport of MMA derives a lot of its techniques and disciplines from other well-known martial arts you learn a comprehensive range of skills. MMA will make you a perfect all-rounder, rather than specializing in a specific area you can enhance your skillset across many areas.
